In What Other Cases Should I Obtain a Fresh ESTA?
A new ESTA will be required in the following circumstances:

- You decide to change your citizenship.
- You have altered one or more of the responses you initially gave on your ESTA application's nine eligibility questions. For example, if you get a contagious sickness or are convicted of a heinous offense.
In such cases, you may be required to obtain a U.S. visa to travel to the United States. You must reapply for the ESTA, and the application must reflect the change in circumstances, otherwise, you may be denied entry into the United States upon arrival. The US State Department website has more details on the reasons for ineligibility.
